A virtue to practise
Joyfulness
Joyfulness is finding delight in everyday things and sharing that happiness with others.
What joyfulness means
Joy is different from getting what you want. It is a deeper kind of gladness that can be there even on ordinary or difficult days. Joyful people notice the good things around them, like a funny moment, a sunny morning or a friend's laugh, and they pass it on.
How to practise joyfulness
- At the end of the day, name three things that made you smile.
- Do something just for the fun of it: dance, play, sing or laugh with someone.
- Spend a few minutes outside and notice something beautiful.
- Share good news, a joke or a happy moment with someone who needs cheering up.
