A virtue to practise
Generosity
Generosity is freely sharing what you have, like your time, your things or your help, without expecting anything back.
What generosity means
Generosity isn't about how much you give. A small gift given happily can mean more than a big one given grudgingly. Some of the most generous gifts cost nothing at all: listening, lending a hand, or letting someone else go first.
How to practise generosity
- Share something you enjoy with someone else today.
- Give your time: help with a job that isn't yours to do.
- Let someone else go first, have the bigger piece or choose the game.
- Give a compliment you really mean. Kind words are a gift too.
