A virtue to practise

Enthusiasm

Enthusiasm is bringing energy, interest and a whole heart to what you do.

What enthusiasm means

Enthusiasm is catching. When one person is keen, everyone around them lifts a little. You don't have to be loud to be enthusiastic. It shows in how fully you join in, how much you care about doing something well, and how you cheer other people on.

How to practise enthusiasm

  1. Pick one ordinary job today and give it your full attention and effort.
  2. Celebrate someone else's good news as if it were your own.
  3. Say yes to joining in, even when you feel like watching from the side.
  4. Tell someone about something you love, and why you love it.
